When was the last time you wrote someone a thank you note?
The late Randy Pausch wrote, “Showing gratitude is one of the simplest yet most powerful things humans can do for each other.”
I agree with him, over the years, the recognition I most treasure and save are handwritten notes I have received from supervisors, colleagues, and readers. It shows me they have taken the time to put pen to paper to thank me or comment on my work.
I suggest you do this on a regular basis by writing notes in a specific way so the recipient feels you are expressing gratitude. Humans need to feel they are unique and have value and you can give them a morale boost
"Silent gratitude isn't much to anyone.” — Gertrude Stein.
